STUD SHEEP SALES.
HIGH VALUES REALISED
SYDNEY, June 2G. The Sydney stud sheep sales were continued to-day when the highest price paid was 1200gs for a special pure Merino ram from G. B. Falkiner's Haddon Rig stud at Warren. This is the highest price realised at an auction sale since 1929. Other offerings from the same stud made /2ogs, 550gs and 725g5. The Kenwick Estate, New Zealand, purchased a Merino ram for lOOgs, and another from Katcr Brothers' estate tor the same price. , , • To-day's sales showed a marked improvement on yesterday's figures. STUD SHEEP FOR EXPORT. That the export trade in New Zealand stud sheep continues to expand is indicated by the large number of various breeds that have been disposed of in recent weeks for export to Argentina, Uruguay, United States and to various part! of Australia. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co., Ltd., who handled the shipments, advise that their selections have been made over a wide area, lne latest shipment to Argentina included two of the champion Corriedale rains in the Dominion, for one of which 300 guineas were paid. In addition to Cornedales from most of the principal South Island breeders, Romneys and Lmeolns from prominent North Island studs are included.
