AUCKLAND STOCK EXCHANGE.
INVESTMENT STOCKS AND SHARES
COMPARISONS OF RECENT TRANSACTIONS,
TO TUESDAY, JUNE 26. The following table fuimisl.es a guide to investors. It shows the trend of the market over twelve months for a comprehensive list of securities, at the same time indicating the latest movements, namely, from a week ago to the date of compilation. The rate of interest obtainable to present day purchasers is also presented, the calculations based on the latest dividends. Since last review the market has been unusually dull, but values now appear to be steadier after a general easing. The tone of bank sha.es however, is somewhat uncertain. Government securities have been fan 1. quiet, buvers being unwilling to advance their oilers above the present level. Mining scrip has been to a large extent neglected. It will be noted from the figures quoted below that most stocks have shown an appreciable advance over the last twelve months, and as dividends have, generally speaking, not been raised, the interest return to present purchasers is correspondingly reduced. .—: —■ __ — |
