(Received 1 p.m.) PARIS, June 24,
Widespread riots in the week-end demonstrated the increasing tension between Fascists and anti-Fascists. The most serious clash was at Lorient, wheru 100 were injured, including 2S police.
There was a struggle for six hours between anti-Fascists and mobile guards and mounted police outside a cinema in which Fascists were meeting. The police repeatedly but unsuccessfully charged against showers of stones and broken bottles.
Firemen were called out but the crowd trod them down and tore up tho hoses. The mob, gaining the upper hand, wrecked tho cinema and proceeded to smash up the locality. Then the police hit out with their rifle butts and eventually dispersed the mob.
