GILT-EDGED STOCKS FIRM. LONDON, June 23. South African goldmining shares are still the only section of the London Stock Exchange showing any considerable amount of activity. However, although not much business is doing in other departments, the general tendency has been steady. A satisfactory feature is the firmness of gilt-edged stocks, all British funds showing good recovery from recent levels. Australian and New Zealand Government stocks maintain their position.
