SECONDARY SCHOOLS.

GRAMMAR OUTPLAY KING'S COLLEGE. MARGIN OF 27 POINTS. Although it was expected that the Auckland Grammar School representatives would defeat King's College in the first of the two annual games played ut Eden Park ou Saturday, it was hardly expected that the dark blues would win as easily as they dlth The final score was 27—0, and it could not be claimed that the figures gave a false impression of the game. The College fifteen this year is weaker than it has been for some seasons. With the exception of one player, every member of the side is playing his first season In the senior grade. Grammar, on the other hand, have five of their last year's side, while they have four or five times as many boys from which to fill the vacancies. Thus it was that King's were never in the picture. Outweighed and outplayed, they were on defence for the greater part of the game, and Hie wonder was that the blues' margin of victory was not greater. With but weak opposition to bother them, even Grammar did not produce the bright and clever football of which they nrc capable, and the spectators were not treated to that class of Rugby which they have become accustomed to expect in secondary schools' contests. For Grammar tries were scored by Passmore (2), Snyers (2), Carnachan aiid Masspy, while Pnssmore kicked a penalty goal and converted three of (ho tries, GAMES IN THE PROVINCE. MANUKAU.
