AT HIGH LEVEL.

THE OHINEMURI RIVER. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) PAEROA, this day. Heavy rain fell all day yesterday and last night. Parts of the Thames, Waihi, Te Aroha and the Plains roads are under water. Mr. A» P. Grant, district engineer, and members of the Public Works Department were out all night at Mackaytown at the floodgates, watching the level of the Ohincmuri River. They report that it reached a height at the bridge of 116 ft, or 24ft above sea level. This is the highest recorded for six years. Early this morning it showed signs of receding, but rain is still falling, and' the officials are maintaining close watch.
