DEMAND FOR CARS. DUNEDIN FIGURES RISE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, this day. The motor trade has brightened tremendously, and is an indication that purse strings are being loosened. When the figures were totalled last year on the final day before the new license plates were attached, vehicles registered at Dunedin numbered 7027, but this year the number has increased to 78.37. From June 1 to to-day 34 new cars have been licensed, and. eight new deliveries have also been placed on th'J road. The army of motor cyclists is also increasing. Motor dealers are enjoying a mild boom. Some firms are unable to supply tho demand, orders for new cars being booked in some cases six weeks before delivery.
