AMERICAN DOLLARS.
YOUTH FACES THEPT CHARGE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WELLINGTON, this day. An electrician, 19 years of age, who was charged with the theft of 205 United States dollars, valued at £J0 15/7, the property of Roy Williams, the American negro boxer, who is in Wellington on his way home from a visit to Australia, was remanded till Wednesday next by Mr. H. P. La wry, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court. Detective-Sergeant L. Revel] eaid that the accused was arrested on Friday afternoon by Detectives Kane and Long. Bail was allowed the accused in the sum of £100 with a surety of £100, and on his own application an order was made for the suppression of his name in the meantime.
