THE WAIPA MEETING. Work at Te Awamutu. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") TE AWAMUTU, this day. The course proper, with the flags 15ft out, was available for fast work at Te Awamutu this morning, and the going was fair, and good work was done by Kanapa, Tuaheahe and Solarium. Hurdles were erected on the hurdle grass. Sweet Rose was the first out and was allotted four furlongs, but was not above three-quarter pace. Rulable completed a like task in 51%5. Arawa Rose, who looks well, traversed three furlongs in 44s and cculd have improved upon this considerably. Solarium was under restraint to finish alongside Trishna at the end of half a mile in 52 l-ss. Solarium has been getting through much useful work recently and his prospects look bright. Hakanoa, alone, was sent over six furlongs, covering the distance in 1.11. Safe Bank was being kept up to his work while running four furlongs in 525. Rex Victor had the advantage of Te Taua at the conclusion of half a mile in 51%5. A very pleasing effort was accomplished by Tuaheahe, who had Kanapa as a companion over four furlongs, completed in 50s. Tuaheahe could have improved upon this. Protomint was hopped out from the seven[urloiiK barrier. After going away slowly lie completed his task in 1.35, the two first in 28s, three in 41s, five in 1.7. Loombination was hitting out freely over four furlongs to take 51%5. This fellow continues to hold his condition well and is in fine order for his engagement. On Approval was schooled over five fences on the hurdle track, giving au improved display.
