DIED SUDDENLY.
AT MASONIC LODGE MEETING. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) OAMARU, Wednesday. Tho death occurred suddenly of Mr. Adam Mackay, aged 70 years, while he was attending a Masonic lodge meeting. Deceased was a highly-respected resident of Oamaru. Born at Kilmarnock, Scotland, he arrived in New Zealand at the age of 15 years. Ho was a prominent Freemason, and was a past master and treasurer of the Lodge Waitaki. The new Masonic Temple at Oamaru is a monument to Mr. Mackay's energy and foresight. He was treasurer of the Meadowbank Bowling Club, and formerly was the Government nominee member of the Oamaru Harbour Board.
