NATIONAL COUNCIL.
The house committee of the National Council of Women held a delightful afternoon at the residence of the convener, Mrs.: A. Turner, of Birdwood Crescent. The rooms were decorated with ul bowls of Iceland poppies and ferns, and warm fires added cosiness to the- pretty scene. Songs were given by Mrs. H. Hobday, Mrs. C. C. Otway, and Mrs. F. Anderton. Among those present were: Mrs. Hugh Kasper, Mrs. T. Bloodworth, Mrs. P. Heath-Preest, Mrs. H. Colwill, Mrs. A. Kidd, Mrs. C. Alexander, Mrs. E. McNair, Mrs. N. Nielsen, Mrs. T. Hughes, Mrs. F. J. Hutcherson, Mrs. E. E. Armitage, Mrs. R. T. Mickeals, Mrs. G. W. L. Robinson, Mrs. W. H. Tongue, Mrs. R, Grive, Mrs. J. Gascoigne, Mrs. W. O'Shea, Mrs. W. Bragg, Mrs. F. Kay-Stratton, Mrs. D. Adkine, Mrs. O. Carnachan, Mrs. R. Martin, Mrs. A. F. Sharpe, Mrs. A. Long, Mrs. A. M. Herrick, Mrs. H. Hunt, Mrs: L. Houden, Mre. A. E. Macartney, Mra. A. K. Black, Miss M.
