NATIONAL COUNCIL.

The house committee of the National Council of Women held a delightful afternoon at the residence of the convener, Mrs.: A. Turner, of Birdwood Crescent. The rooms were decorated with ul bowls of Iceland poppies and ferns, and warm fires added cosiness to the- pretty scene. Songs were given by Mrs. H. Hobday, Mrs. C. C. Otway, and Mrs. F. Anderton.
