LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
JUNIOR MANAGEMENT AFFAIRS. The junior management committee of the Auckland Rugby League, with Mr. D. Wilkie presiding, met last evening. It was decided that the second, sixth and seventh grade championships be for three rounds. Arising from a complaint, it was decided that referees bo instructed to enforce the rule in the event of a home team being late in appearing to start matches. Owing to short time played it was decided that the third intermediate match between City and Papakura played at Papakura, be replayed at the end of the round if it has any bearing on the championship. Two third intermediate players were ordered to stand down for one playing Saturday for striking each other. An Otahuliu fifth grade player being found over weight, the game was awarded to Mount Albert, who challenged. A protest by Richmond against Newton sixth grade for playing two players whose names were not on the team cards, was held over for further inquiry. Transfer fees in respect of second grade players who had played two games with senior teams were made in respect of A. Broadhead (Richmond) and C. Hall (Devonport) by Point Chevalier, and F. List (Marists) by Mount Albert club, and were formally referred to the control board. . , , Transfers granted:—R. Frai, Richmond to Point Chevalier, and A. M. Brown (with regrade from City Reserves subject to approval by the control board) to Akarana thirds. A. Ivjl, Devonport, was regraded fifths to sixths. Groundsmen for Saturday.—Papakura, Mr Stones; Domain, Messrs. Wilkie and Howie; Victoria Park, Mr. Carey; Western Springs, Mr. Taylor.
