NEW FARMS.
SUBDIVISION OF ESTATE. CASH GIFT T6 SOCIETY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. It was announced to-day by Mr. D. V. Bryant that anonymous donors have given several thousands of pounds for the, purchase of an estate of 1430 acres in the Te Awamutu district. Although the donation is distinctly for the Waikato Land Settlement Society, it is made with the object of encouraging the ideals expressed in Mr. Bryant's immigration scheme, a reference to which appears under separate headings. Carrying 1500 breeding ewes in addition to other sheep and cattle, the new estate will become the society's property on June 20. Half is grassed, the remainder being easily workable and ideal for closer settlement. The society's directors intend to treat the property differently from other blocks now under development. The estate will be subdivided into farms of approximately 120 acres, each man to receive eight or ten cows, enabling him t<, maintain a number of pigs. Settlers will also receive several hundred breeding ewes for producing fat lambe.
