W.C.T.U. MEETING.
A meeting of the Auckland Women's Christian Temperance Union was held yesterday afternoon. Mrs. John Cook presided. Mrs. Brown, treasurer of the Timaru Union, was welcomed meeting. She spoke of the success ot" the sailors' rest, which was run entirely by the Timaru W.C.T.U., of the good work done for visiting sailorfe. Mrs. Stimpson gave an address on "Faith." A letter of appreciation was sent to the Auckland City Council for upholding the sanctity of the Sabbath in their resolution against Sunday tennis. The president welcomed ltev. H. A. Trill, of Takapuna, who gave an address on " Loyalty."
