YACHT'S CRUISE.

VISION REACHES BRISBANE. FROM NORFOLK ISLAND. The yacht Vision arrived at Brisbane on Monday from Auckland, via Norfolk Island on the first stage of a leisurely cruise that is expected to finish in England. The Vision, which is rigged as a schooner, is 44ft overall and 12ft 6in beam. She left Auckland on April 18 for Russell having on board the owner, Commander H. M. Montague, R.N., and Mrs. Montague, also Mr. M. O. Guthrie, of Wellington. At Kerikeri, the party was supplemented by Mr. and Mrs. Alan Temple. The Vision made calls at Whangaroa and Parengarenga, leaving this most northern port on May 12 for Norfolk Island, which was reached after a hard weather trip on May 21. Three days were spent at Norfolk Island, the yacht leaving on May 24 for -Brisbane, where she arrived last Monday after a fair weather run of 18 days. ■ The party, who arc reported as all well, intend to spend the winter on the' Queensland coast, exploring the Barrier Reefs that run for hundreds of miles north.' From Australia it is Commander Montague's intention to sail north through the Dutch East Indies and Malay States, on to India where some time will be spent with friends. The voyage will be continued through the Red Sea, Suez Canal and the Mediterranean to England. Before leaving Auckland' Commander Montague said it was quite possible that he would return to Auckland to compete in the race to Melbourne. He was assured that all details of the race would be available at Brisbane.
