NAME FOR FOOTBALLERS.
I would like to add another to the names already suggested as suitable to take the place of All Blacks. It is "Fernleaf." Our soldiers in South Africa were known as Fernleaves. The emblem has been borne by representative sports bodies when visiting overseas. Many of our reinforcements bore it on their badges in the Great War. A very popular magazine, wirelv circulating in New Zealand and overseas, is known by the name. Some of our primary produce is marketed under the brand. It is indigenous to New Zealand and certainly has more claims than most of the names already suggested. FERNLEAF.
