AUCKLAND CLUB. Ideal racing conditions prevailed at Tamaki on Saturday for tlie Auckland Cycle Club's road events. A 5& miles handicap was decided by the junior division, whilst the seniors held a time trial over 21 miles. Junior results: — R. Iledlund (3.15), 17.25 1 S. Salt (1.30) 2 C. Snelier (1.10) 3 E. AUCKLAND AMATEURS.

Under showery conditions the A.A.A. and C.C. staged a 9i-milc junior and a 131-milc senior race. The senior race resulted :— F. O'Gorman (1.15), 28.41 1 G. Burns (2.15), 29.42 2 R. Cullen (1.15), 28.43 3 Fastest times: F. O'Gorman, 28.41; R. Cullen, 28.43. Twenty-six seniors faced the starter, the limit man, C. Keefe (5.30), getting away to a good stuj't, followed by the lone scratch man, G. Patrick, 5.30 later. In this race also the liandicapper excelled, for two largo bunches passed the line with only 36s separating them. The placed men fought out a very even finish, for G. Laurence to prevail by a tyre from R. King, with J. Tanniliill and C. Keefe half a wheel back respectively. The senior placlngs for 13J miles are as follow: — G. Laurence (4.30), 41.22 1 R. Apart from nn occasional light shower, racing conditions were good on Saturday, when the Manukau Amateur Cycling Club continued its series o£ winter road races at Avondalc South. Ten juniors started in their event of 10 miles, four laps. Placed Juniors: — H. Vernon (3.30), 31.11 1 ,T. A. Macdonald (3.30), 31.12 2 J. F. Archer (3.0), 31.41 3 ■T. 11. Gillbanks (1.0), 29.42; E. E. F. Tucker (1.0), 29.43; G. W. Holland (scr), 28.11. Holland's 28.11 was the best 10-mile time returned by a junior rider this season on the Avondale circuit. TAKAPUNA AMATEURS.

Barring scattered showers, the conditions were ideal for racing on Saturday, when the members of the Lynndale Club were competing, by invitation, with the Takapuna Club, on the latter's course, over the Lake circuit. BEACHHAVEN CLUB.

Both senior and junior sections of the Beachhaven Cycle Club were on the road on Saturday. The former held a I'JJ-mile race arranged in three laps, from Beachhaven through Blrkdale and back. Under good conditions the Papatoetoe Cycling Club held a 20-mile time trial over the Howick circuit. In gaining fastest time S. Pinfold showed some of his old form by breaking his previous record of 58.56 by 1.33. The results are:—R. Alexander (6.30), 63.20, 1; M. Watson (7.0), 63.57. 2; K. Mclnarney (3.30), 60.29. 3.
