ASSESSMENT COURT.
FIRST FOR MOUNT ALBERT,
On an appeal from _ a ratepayer against the council's decision not to prepare an urban farm lands list, intimation was made last evening to the Mount Albert Borough Council from the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr. J. A. Young, that it had been decided to set up an Assessment Court in accordance with section 14 of the Urban I ( arm Lands Rating Act, 1932. This will be the first such court in Mount Albert. The Minister added that he was selecting his nominee, and asked that the council select its representative. On the motion of the Mayor, Mr. R. Ferner, Mr. F. A. Jarrett, valuer, was appointed. The Mayor said that the agitation for tlio preparation of such a list came from a certain district, and would mean an additional burden on the remainder of the ratepayers.
