ASLEEP IN CAR.
AFTER TAKING WRONG ROAD.
MOTORIST FINED £15.
A plea of guilty was entered by Edward Francis Brown, aged 29 (Mr. T. N. Holmden), when charged before Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., this morning with being intoxicated while in charge of a motor car.
Sergeant S. A. Brown said accused and his wife were found by Constable John McKie asleep in a motor car at 12.15 a.m. on Sunday in Lower Queen Street. Onehunga. He had been to a party at St. Helier'e Bay and left for his home at Grey Lynn, but got to Onehunga instead". Then something went wrong with the car. Brown was convicted and fined £15 and liis license was cancelled for twelve months, in default one month's imprisonment.
