INDUSTRY AND TAXES.
I wish to congratulate "Rank Outsider' on liis case for the unsheltered industries in Saturday's "Star." The passing reference to "establishing new* industries" I, as a fi e ® trader, view with suspicion, but that has not much to do with the letter. What the State pays for the sheltered has to be got in some way from the unsheltered, whose reduction in income is much greater than that of the sheltered. How about taxing the sheltered to an extent corresponding with the losses of the unsheltered ? DERELICT.
