MONOWAI FOR SYDNEY

AVELONA STAB'S LOADING.

The port will remain slack for the rest of the week. After the departure of the Port Hunter this afternoon and the Maimoa to-morrow morning, there will be no overseas ships in port until the liner Monowai arrives from Wellington. On Saturday morning the Mariposa is due from Sydney, and on Monday the Avelona Star is due to load.

Monowai left Wellington at 12.30 a.m. to-day, and is expected at Auckland at 0 a.m. to morrow, to berth at the Queen's wharf. She is to sail at 3 o'clock on Friday afternoon for Sydney direct. (U.S.S.)

Mariposa is expected at daybreak on Saturday from Sydney, and is to berth at the Queen's wharf to land her Auckland mails and cargo and disembark passengers. She is scheduled to resume her voyage to Los Angeles and San Francisco at 1 o'clock the same afternoon. (H. and M.)

Avelona Star is now announced to be scheduled to reach Auckland next Monday from Wellington, instead of the following Saturday, as originally expected. She is to load the final portion of her cargo here, and will now leave for London on June 7. (Blue Star).

Port Hunter is scheduled to leave at 5 p.m. to-day for Wellington and Napier to complete discharge of her cargo from London. She loads thereafter at Napier, Gisborne, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland, being due here again on June 22. (F.C.A.)

Waipahi left last evening for Sydney, having discharged her fruit cargo, and is to go thence to Fiji. She returns to Auckland from Fiji on June 26. (U.S.S.)
