PROGRESSIVE CLUB.
Tho second' social gathering this season of the Women's Progressive Club was held in the Assembly Hall, Y.W.C.A., and was attended by a largo number of members and friends. The proceeds were in aid of the Prisoners' Aid Society. Mrs. Sullivan presided and Mr. Sullivan acted as master of ceremonies. The opening item of the programme was the grand march, after which dancing took place. The Rev. Moreton, in.thanking the committee for their help, gave a short talk about the work'of the society. Elocutionary and vocal numbers were excellently rendered by Miss Dreaver, Mrs. N. Robertson and Miss Lingard. Mfc.' Walton gave an exhibition of tap dancing, and Mr. Cotter and Miss Adams of the fox-trot. Prizes were won for 'the best fancy dresses by Mrs. Graham" (Spanish lady), Missi Stoyy(«ightVf --Mrs. ■ Donne (Victorian .lady), Mr. Jackson (Spanish gentleman): Dance music was supplied by St."'Thomas' "orchestra. Mrs. Story acted 'as accompanist -
