DEAD IN BED.
ONEHUNGA RESIDENT. A single woman, Miss Theodora Slater Thompson, aged 72, was found dead in bed last cvenint at her residence, 101, Church Street, East, -Onehunga. She was last seen alive about 9 o'clock on Monday night by Mrs. Bean, from whom she rented a room. Yesterday morning Mrs. Bean's daughter went to Miss Thompson's bedroom and found her apparently asleep. Mrs. Bean left home in the morning, and was away for some hours. When she returned in the afternoon and was told that Miss Thompson was still in her room, she went to investigate, and found that she had apparently been dead for some hours.
Miss Thompson came from India some years ago to see. her brother. She was in receipt of a pension. Her father, was a military officer in India.
An inquest will not be necessary, as a death certificate has been given by Dr. Jam en Kirkwood.
