A CHRISTCHURCH CLUB! WHY NOT?
Last week I read in your paper a report of the- activities of the Duneuin Club._ As Jio doubt there are numbers of Christehurcli people living in Auckland, the idea occurred •to me; that" perhaps a. similar organisation, comprised of the people of the cathedral town, could be formed in Auckland. Having been here four months. I for one would be delighted to have the opportunity of meeting any of my home town folk. 'Should some Christch'ureh person, having organising ability and capable of ■enlarging" on my proposal, come forward. I feel that his or her efforts will bo fully rewarded. ]f our sister townsfolk —the DnuMlinites —can enjoy eacjh other's company while in Auckland, surely we of the- Canterbury Plains can equal or even eclipse their effort. You are at liberty to give my name and address to all inquirers. Come on. Canterbury! AVON.
