GOLD FROM THAMES.
■CrNEMPI.OYMENT SCHEME. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) THAMES, this day. Over £200 worth pi gold was won during April in the Thaincs-Coromandel district by prospectors employed under the Unemployment Board's subsidised scheme. In Thames borouph 12 parties had returns from crushing? which ranged'from lOdwts to 21oz lldwts, the total bullion won beinp 51oz lOdwts, the value without bonus being £143 4/1. Jn Thames county seven parties had returns ranging up to sd>vts to 3oz 13dwts, the total bullion being valued at 7/3. %In Coromandel county eight parties had erushings yielding 16oz 2rlwts bullion, valued at £.">3 9/5. Individual returns ranged from lidwts to 4oz 12dwts. In addition bonuses amounted to £172 2/10, paid between February 20 and March 20.
