WOMAN KNOCKED DOWN.
WALKED FROM BACK OF BUS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) PUKEKOHE, this day. About 8.45 on Saturday evening, Mrs. A. Lovett, -an elderly resident of Pukekohe, was struck by a light motor car, which was driven by Mr. Colin Arkle, of Waiuku, in West Street, Pukekohc. Mrs. Lovett, who had been a passenger in a motor bus, alighted and walked round the back of the bus. As she stepped out into the road she was struck by the car and received a severe shock, niso a deep cut on one ankle and other abrasions.
A small cliikl who was with Mrs. Lovett eecaped injury. The car was damaged to the extent of a broken headlamp "and dented mudguard and bonnet. The rar is stated to have been travelling fairly slowly, as a light misty rain was falling and visibility was bad.
