WEDDINGS OF THE WEEK.

COCKER—HAY. St. Mark's Church, Remuera, beautifully decorated by friends of the bride with bowls of sunset shaded dahlias and licht foliage, was the setting for the weddinc last evening of Ada Vera, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Hay, of Grafton Road, to William Hollis, only 6on of the Rev. J. and Mrs. Cocker, Master ton. The ceremony was performed by the Kev. P. Houghton, and Mr. Paseoe officiated at the organ. The bride made a charming picture .is she entered the church. She wore a „own of pale primrose satin, which was made on simple lines with long sleeves puffed to the elbow, and fitting tightly at the wrist. The cowl neck was bordered with gold lame and a satin sash swathed the waist line. The skirt wa3 draped and cut to form a double train. Exquisite was the veil of fi] m y bordered with a wide band of Andalusian magnolia shaded lace, arranged cap fashion on the head, with the lace also forming a small shoulder cape and making a third train. She carried a sheaf of tuberoses and belladonna lilies. The bridesmaids were Misses Freda Pyra and Mary Hay, niece of the bride. Their frocks of pale primrose silk net over "lace silk were made with cowl collars. Farce puff sleeves, with several rows of small silk ruchings, and the skirts were trimmed in the same fashion. Wide panne velvet sashes in shades of rust were draped at the waist line and their headdresses of rust shaded tulle were finished across the back with velvet flowers. Bouquets of autumn crocuses were carried. . Major Pym gave the bride away,and the best man was Mr. A. M. Gouldm D . After the ccremony a reception was held at "Glenfern," Symonds Street, the residence of Mrs. H. S. Dadey, bride's aunt. The gardens and house were brilliantly lighted and flowers o all colours were used for decorative purposes. _ - ~ ._ The wedding breakfast was held in the billiard room, which was arranged with a canopy of Iycopodium and the table was set on folds of silver tissue, with several groups of silver candleabra, lighted with deep yellow candles. Mrs. Hay received the guests in a black georgette and lace trimmed with Lido blue georgette and silver embroid cries. Her hat of velvet was trimmed with a deeper blue shade, and she car ried a shower bouquet of pink and mauve carnations. Vs. Dad ey wore a black marquisette gown with b ei„e lace yoke. The black velvet hat was trimmed with la?e, and a sheaf of autumn shaded roses was carried. Mrs Cocker, the bridegroom s mother, wore a black georgette and lace frock, with ermine stole and a black panne velvet toque.
