CLOTHING AWARD.

SATISFACTORY SETTLEMENT.

The Conciliation Council met this morning to consider the terms and conditions of employment of male workers in the clothing trade. Mr. P. Hally, commissioner, presided.

The employers were represented by Messrs, F. if. Ambler, Geo. Goodwin, RT. Woods and W. E. Anderson, secretary of the Employers' Association, as advocate. The employees wore represented by Messrs, H. H. Logan, W. Cummins, C. Bcazley and W.. S. Moxsom, secretary of the union, as advocate.

After a brief and friendly discussion all matters were. settled to tlio satisfaction of both parties. The recommendations of tho council will be forwarded to the Court of Arbitration to make into an award to operate as from Friday next.
