Reported Disaffection in Seamen's Union. GENERAL HOLD-UP PREDICTED. (Received 10.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. Officials of the Seamen's Union are in touch with the crews of the Wanganella. Kooyong and Allawa as the result of reports of disaffection. One official is reported to have predicted a general hold-up, but declined to say so for publication with his name. The crew of the Kooyong gave notice, but the captain informed the owners, Mcllraith and McEacliarn, later that the notice had been withdrawn. The shipowners' chairman, Mr. J. L. Webb, refuses to comment on the situation.
