ONLY SOUND PRINCIPLES. BUSINESS MEN'S SUPI?ORT. ' (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Endorsement of the evidence tendered before the Parliamentary Monetary Committee by .'the Associated Bank is contained in a report from a special committee set up by the Wellington Chamber of Commerce. .* The report states that the present banking structure and system in New Zealand is founded on the British system, and so far has resisted any departure from sound banking principles, with the result that it enjoys the confidence of the commercial community. The committee states further that it is not prepared to accept, in place of the present system, some other experimental system in which it might not be able to place the same degree of confidence.
