AUSTRALIA V. TASMANIA. TOURISTS 415 FOR FOUR. SHOULD BADCOCIv GO HOME? LAUNCESTOX, March 12. In dull, threatening weather the match between the Australian Test team and Tasmania was resumed to-day before an attendance of 30C0. The Tasinanian innings entfed before lunch for 315. After 148 minutes at the wickets Woodfull reached his century. When he had scored 96, Brown was caught. He hit seven fours. At stumps the tourists had four wickets down for -115. Tasmania's outstanding batsman, Badcock, has received an attractive offer to play for the Adelaide Club next season and has decided to acccpt the transfer to South Australia. Some leading cricket writers ore agitating for his inclusion in the Test team. They contend that his batting feats hitherto have justified his inclusion. He has, they say, been completely overlooked. By defeating High School on the first innings on Saturday, Turaru became the winners of the Crease Cup iu the 1934 season of the Thames Cricket Association. Tarnru opened the batting and were all dismissed for 140 (Cleave 40 not out, Lang 13). Baker took four for 2.2, and Brown two for 14. High School were all put out for 105 (Shaw 66, Cotterall 17). Billings took five for 20, and Cleave four for 24. In the Karaka-Suburbs match the former went to the wickets and were all dismissed for 93 (Brokenshire 16, McLeary 14).
