CONGREGATIONAL UNION.
DELEGATES WELCOMED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, Wednesday. The Congregational Union opened this evening. The proceedings will last seven days. The delegates were accoi e a civic welcome by the Mayor, Mr. . • Mansford, wlio stressed the need tor t e Church to lead the future of world reconstruction. Later the induction of the Lev. George Heiehway as president was conducted by his 'predecessor, the Rev. Harry Johnson. The new president's address contained a plea for Church unity on the basis ot liberal toleration of views.
