HARBOUR BOARD WAGES.
WELLINGTON INQUIRIES. (By Teleirraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Th© chief executive officer of the Wellington Harbour Board is to make inquiries from other principal boards concerning wages and conditions of permanent employees for the purpose of comparison. The board reached this decision after Mr. Chapman had drawn attention to a report that the Nelson boa;-d proposed restoring the wages cut to its employees. The chairman, Mr. Turrell, stated that negotiations were already being' carried ,out in regard to casual workers.
