SHIPS' DOCTORS.
TO EXAMINE PASSENGERS. PORT LANDINGS SIMPLIFIED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLIXGTON, Wednesday. An experiment will be made by the Health Department with a new system (it' medical inspection on intercolonial ships carrying their own medical odicers. Instead of (he inspections being conducted by health odicers on the arrival of the vessels at. New Zealand ports, the passengers will be examined during the voyage to the Dominion, anil, if passed with a clear bill of health, will be allowed to land without further inspection. Should the results of the trial be ' satisfactory, this practice will probably j be extended to overseas vessels.
