NEW ENGLISH ROMANCE.
"LOVE'S OLD SWEET SONG." J. L. Molloy, one of the most famous o; eong composers. wrote " Love s Old Sweet Song," the melody which suggested the story of the film to open at the Majestic Theatre to-morrow. This production, which is all-British in cast and direction, has in the leading roles such well-known players as John Stuart, Joan Wyndham, William Freshman, Julie Suedo, and Ronald Ward. It is the story of a young concert singer who wins the heart of a susceptible young farmer by her voice, of her entanglement with the worthless brother of her friend and manager, the death of that brother's mistress, and the manner in which the crime is sheeted home to the man she really loves best. At the moment when the 'realisation of all her hopes appears about to be fulfilled her husband reappears, and it seems that she will be cheated after all. But destiny has a surprise left in store, and the film develops in unexpected and dramatic manner. Many beautiful photographic studies of the typical English countryside arc incorporated in the film. There is every reason why this fine English emotional romance should prove a success at the box office of the Majestic, as far as a film may b'? judged before its release.
