TAR SEALING AT LAST? ALJ'OMOBILK ASSOCIATION ACTION Members of the council of the Automobile Association are hopeful that at the beginning of the financial year the rough piece of road through Panmure township on the way to Howick will tar scaled. Air. M 11. Wynyard, motorists' representative 011 the Main Highways. Board, and Dr. J. 11. La wry, t\v;i members of the A.A. council, recently met the chairman of the Panmure Road Board. Mr. Wynyard reported last evening that the chairman of the Load Board had promised that his authority would take into consideration the tar sealing of the road, about which complaints had been received for years.
"Everything appears to be set now for the improvement of the road and for permanent rrrangements for its maintenance," said Mr. Wynyard. "We hope now that there wiTi be 110 further trouble, and we hope that the Main Highways Board will find the finance and provide for the tar sealing of the road in the estimates for the coming year." "That is highly satisfactory," remarked the president, Mr. A. Grayson.
