POLICEMEN'S CARNIVAL.
SYDNEY, February 18. The police sports carnival on the Sydney showground 011 Saturday attracted more than 30,000 spectators, who were treated to some tine displays. Golding. Olympic champion, and two New Zealanders were among the contestants. Golding lost his elianee in the final of the 100 yards event owing to two breaks. The race was won carily in IOJs by Masters from Roberts. In a heavy-weight wrestling bout D. G. M. Simpson (New Zealand) beat J. lteilly (New South Wales) with two straight falls.
