EMPIRE EXHIBITION.
Finest Display of British Art Coming Overseas. TO BE SHOWN IN AUCKLAND. (Received 11 a.m.) LONDON, February 12. The "Sun-Herald" news service is informed that an art exhibition comprising the finest display of contemporary British art ever collected for overseas, is being dispatched to Australia in March. It will be shown in Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane, then in Auckland and Dunedin. The Empire Loan Collectors' Society has secured paintings, drawings and prints illustrating 70 years of British art. Private owners have generously lent favourite pictures.
