YACHTING.
" ROYALS'" WEEK-END. RACING AT KAWAU. AKARANA AND TAMAKI CLUBS. (By SPEEDWELL.) When the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron attained Its jubilee four years ago it was celebrated by a race tp Kawau, and several events next day. It was so successful that each year it has been repeated. This evening all the squadron's yachts are competing in a race to Kawau, starting off the King's wharf at 7 o'clock. To-morrow a race will be held off Bon Accord Harbour with lady skippers, starting at 10 a.m. At 1.30 a race for naval whalers, gigs and cutters will be held, and at 2.30 p.m. a general handicap for the Itoyal yachts oi all classes. H.M.s. Diomede will be flagship for the day, and H.M.s., Dunedin will also be in the harbour, together with the N.Z. Government steamer Matai, from which their Excellencies, Lord and Lady Bledisloe will view the regatta before leaving in the evening for I'aihia and the Waitangi celebrations. The entries for this evening's race, which will start on the Y.R.A. system, are Waitangi, Thelina, lorangi, Ilex, Nga Toa, Victory, Prize, Uawene, Moana, Ida, Waione, Ladye Wilma, Kotiri, Windward, Kofuku, Mahaki, Medina, Janet, Gloriana and Dorothy.
