PLUNKET SOCIETY.
COUNCIL MEETING VOTING.
A STATEMENT QUERIED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, this day. The president of the Council of the Pluuket Society, Mrs. J. McGeoige, in a letter to the presidents of the branches, refers to the action of Mrs. Tythc-Brown, president of the Wellington branch, in asking the secretary of her branch to advise the council tjiat she did not vote at the council meeting at which the decision was reached that the retirement of the director of Plunket nursing was in the best interests of the work of the societv.
Mrs. MeGcorge states that the resolution was unanimously carried, both in committee and in open meeting, and that before the close' of the meeting the minutes recording that fact were confirmed, Sirs. Brown being present on all three occasions. /
A sub-committee, Mrs. McGeorgc adds, was set up to see Mr. Justice Blair, who is a member of the Advisory Board, with a view to having the resolution carried into effect. Mrs. Brown was associated with the sub-committee and was present at the interview with Mr. Justice Blair.
