THE OFFICIAL FORECAST.
I (By Tetegrapn.—Press WELLINGTON, this day. The anti-cyclone centred cast of the South Island has increased further in intensity, the barometer at Chatham Island reading over 30.5 in. A fresh depression has reached South-eastern Aus-
tralia. The forecast is for moderate to strong east to north-east winds, with the weather cloudy, with light ram at first in places, but gradually improving. Temperatures will be warmer and seas rough on the east coast and moderate on the west.
