TO CARRY MAIL.
THE SOUTHERN CROSS. ; DEPARTURE IN MARCH. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. On her return flight to Australia about the middle of March, the monoplane Southern Croee will carry 6001b of mail. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith announced last nijrht that the decision had been made following the reccipt of numerous requests, and the necessary arrangements had been made. When the date of the flight was announced it would be strictly adhered to, unless cyclonic conditions prevailed in the Tasman. The monoplane's northern tour has been extended over the week-end fol- | lowing February 1.
