TACTICS DEPLORED.
RELIEF WORKERS' UNION. NATIONAL STRIKE ATTEMPT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A meeting of delegates to the Council of the Unemployed Union passed a resolution deploring the tactics of the Wellington Relief Workers' Union, and stating they would take no further part in the attempt to foment a national strike of relief workers. The meeting refused to have any further dealings with the so-called United Front, as it is considered the attempt to cause a strike and alter the constitution and the secretariat without the consent of the bodies affiliated was a breach of agreement and likely to destroy possible co-operation.
