DOMINION WHEAT YIELD.
OVER 8,000,000 BUSHELS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Thursday. The New Zealand wheat yield for the 1934 season is estimated to b© approximately 8,500,000 bushels, according to calculations made from returns collected by circular by the united wheat growers' organisation. Working on the basis of the known acreage this season the average yield will be a shade less than 29 bushels to the acre. Last year the ; average yield was 30.54 bushels an acre, j a figure which has been exceeded only twice in 65 years.
