NEW SIXPENCES.
Aucklanders have commenced t handle another of the new coins which are replacing the former silver coinage, file newly-minted sixpences were put into circulation yesterday. A shipment of approximately £20,000 value arrived from Wellington and was distributed among the banks. The coins bear the representation of the King's head on one side and a female huia on ilie reverse side.
