GISBORNE NOTES.
Mrs. D. L. Muir, Kaiti Esplanade, has returned from a holiday visit to Christchurch. Sir. and Mrs. A. G. Lancaster, who have been spending the holidays in Gisborne, have returned to Porangahau. Miss Isla Macdonald, Tolaga Bay, is the guest of Mrs. C. Matthews, Hospital Hill. Miss Joan Crawford, Mangapapa, returned on Sunday after a holiday spent afc Palliser Bay and Masterton, as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. P. L. Gully. I Mesdames T. Holden and M. L. | Holden were joint hostesses on Saturday afternoon at a delightful party, held at the former's country residence, Rimuroa, in honour of Miss Moya Hegarty. The guests were entertained out of doors, bathing being enjoyed. After a picnic tea was served, the guests adjourned to the drawing room, which was cleared for dancing and artistically decorated with hydrangeas. A delicious supper was served in the dining room, the table being offset with a bowl of sweet peas. The dance music was supplied by Mrs. Thompson. Mrs. T. Holden wore a frock of bue tobralco, trimmed with red buttons. Mrs. M. L. Holden's frock was a model of blue and white striped linen. A 6mart frock of green linen, relieved with a white collar, was worn by the guest of honour.
