ON THE AIR.

VOICES FROM AFAR.

NEW ZEALAND SCHOOLBOYS. BROADCAST NEXT FRIDAY. (From Our Own Correspondent.) SYDNEY, January 11. Next Friday, January 19, the party of New Zealand schoolboys, now touring New South Wales will "go on the air" for the benefit of their friends and relations and other less fortunate people on the other side of the Tasman Sea. The performance is timed to start here at 7 p.m., or 9 p.m. in New Zealand. Short addresses or speeches describing the tour and their experiences that the boys have gathered up will be delivered bv four representative members of the party—Earl Smith, of King's College, Auckland; G. Tinney, of Christ's College, Christcliurch; J. Steven, of New [Plymouth Boys' High School; and j Reynolds, of Hutt Valley Boys' High i School. '

No doubt those immediately or personally interested in the speakers will be sure to "tune in." But even to those I not directly concerned about this tour and its "personnel," this occasion should present itself as a unique opportunitv for listening to the views of young New Zealanders, describing the impressions produced upon them by their first trip to i this great country, and their sojourn in this wonredful city. At the same time that element of romance imparted to the situation by these voices coming "'out of the limitless wave" across 1200 miles of storiny sea should make this little function a memorable one, and should ensure literally a "nation-wide" audience for the speakers.
