STOLEN SUITCASES.

SEAMAN SENT TO PRISON. A seaman, James Douglas Silby, aged 33, in the Police Court this morning, pleaded guilty to charges of stealing a suitcase and contents, valued at £5, on January 2, and, on December 23, with stealing a and contents, of the total value of £lo 10/. Detective-Sergeant McHugli said Silby had three previous convictions for theft and one for vagrancy. Silby, who had nothing to say, was sentenced to two months' imprisonment.
