ELECTION TALK.
De Valera Party Meeting Starts Rumour. BEARING ON ECONOMIC WAR. LONDON, January 11. A day-long meeting of Mr. de Valera's party has aroused speculation. The proceedings were closely guarded, but the opinion is expressed that the subject of the discussion was the advisability of holding an election. Many of Mr. de Valera's colleagues believe he would be returned with a largo majority from the polls now, but if he delayed until the effects of the economic war were more fully felt by the country, 5t would be too late.
