WAIHI CRUSHING RETURNS. 71660 Z. OF GOLD LAST MONTH. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, Thursday. The following information has been cabled to tie London office of the Waihl Gold Mining Company, Limited :— For the period ended December 31, comprising 21$ crushing days, 17,684 tons of ore were crushed for n result of 7103' fine ounces of gold and 30,005 line ounces of silver. This includes 2212 tons mined from the Grand Junction area, which yielded 731 flne ounces of gold and 2082 line ounces of silver. This is the final return for the yea r. No. 4 Level. —North branch of the Martha lode: At 157 ft west the reef is disturbed, and we are investigating. No. 5 Level.—North branch of the Martha lode: Driving west (lie next 321" t is ore of good grade. The dip of the vein now is much more north. Grand Junction, No. (> Level.— ln the crosscut at 70ft west and rit 31ft in, we have driven to the west 24ft, the assay value being 4/3 a ton. At 347 ft in the Royal south-enst prospecting crosscut we have met a reef, the first two feet assaying 3/ a ton. ROYAL LODE INTERSECTED.
